As a sequel to a previous blog post about four of our favorite golf resorts, we rounded up four more! Considering how many resorts there are to explore when staying at a Timbers Resorts private residence club or luxury vacation homes, we thought we'd share more. Here are four more places you definitely don't want to miss out on, especially if you're an avid golfer:
1. Catamount in Steamboat Springs (near One Steamboat Place) Catamount Ranch & Club features a majestic Tom Weiskopf signature course with a par 72 and 7,088 yards is sanctioned by the Audubon Society for its environmentally sensitive design. The one-of-a-kind course is surrounded by alpine meadows beneath the splendor of Steamboat's peaks. One Steamboat Place - A Timbers Residence Club, enjoys an affiliation with Catamount and its Private Residence Club Owners have access to the club.
2. Mahogany Run on St. Thomas (near The Preserve at Botany Bay) Located on the same U.S. Virgin Island as The Preserve at Botany Bay - A Timbers Resort, Mahogany Run is a scenic par 70 course designed by George and Tom Fazio back in 1980. With seashore paspalum greens and Bermuda grass fairways, the course encompasses 110 acres on the North shore of St. Thomas. The course is also home to the world renowned "Devil’s Triangle" (holes 13, 14 and 15). Owners at Botany Bay enjoy preferred tee times and rates as a benefit of ownership.
3. Puerto Los Cabos Golf Courses (near Esperanza Resort) Overlooking the Sea of Cortez, the Puerto Los Cabos golf course in Cabo San Lucas offers amazing ocean views from every hole. Choose between two signature courses from golf greats. The opening 18 holes are a composite design from Greg Norman (front nine) and Jack Nicklaus (back nine). Esperanza Resort, designed and developed by Timbers Resorts, has special rates at courses in Cabo that can be arranged through the concierge.
4. Red Sky Ranch (near The Sebastian, Vail) Rated among the "Best 20 Golf Resorts" by Golf Digest, this is a dream course for any golf aficionado. Red Sky features a pair of championship courses designed by Tom Fazio and Greg Norman, which were named the top two courses in Colorado by Travel + Leisure Golf. Perhaps the most spectacular of all aspects of this resort is the massive ridge between the two courses; it serves as wildlife migration corridor for deer and elk. There's more than just golf here too--visit the Silver Sage Restaurant for an amazing meal; perfect your swing at two driving ranges or the Red Sky Golf Academy. Owners and guests at The Sebastian enjoy playing at Red Sky in spring, summer and fall.
