Welcome to summer 2010!

With many exciting programs happening at the Bear – Aspen is certainly the place to be! Being such a magnificent catalyst for fun and adventure our members have certainly taken advantage of the great weather and sunshine here in the Rocky Mountains.  There has been such an endless array of activities and events here – from the 4th of July party, rodeo nights and music festivals. We have celebrated it all. Please enjoy a couple pictures of summer thus far…….

We also managed to visit a day horse riding camp at Cedar Ranch in Carbondale, run by Wind walkers. A nonprofit that works with riders that have physical disabilities, as well as educational, behavioral and social challenges. Our members and the Director of Member Services,  Jackie got to spend a day at the ranch experiencing horse riding, grooming, groundwork and so much more! The Graham’s sons Matthew and Marcus were up trotting in no time and Andrea Laderman with her son Nicholas enjoyed their time in a true working barn. A unique treat when you are visiting the Roaring Fork Valley!

A celebration of Summer………….

Posted in Uncategorized on October 30th, 2009 by admin – Be the first to comment

Dancing Bear Aspen would not let summer slip away without a proper send-off. The calendar tells us that the seasons change in mid-September, but we all know that the unofficial end to summer is Labor Day. Hosted on the Roof terrace by Mark Fischer, future owner of DBA Mountainside Restaurant, we held a casual summer party to say farewell to the lazy days of summer. The slow food, family style dinner featured local produce, and Organic Colorado wine. Everyone stayed out late to enjoy the music by local musician Tom Rousell and the great weather. I think the pictures can speak for themselves!

We welcomed our member’s for their first stay at Dancing Bear Aspen! We have included some pictures of our first winter here in the rockies.
